Heartwarming show of DK love and support!

The outpouring of love and thank you we all demonstrated to Karen and Jackdoodle, in the only tangible way we can, was beyond everyone's expectations. We all know how much time and dedication she gives to DK and she never asks for anything from us. I think she now knows how very much she means to us as a doodle loving community.
"Independent, responsible and stubborn"were words used to describe her recently in all the emails flying back and forth to set this venture in motion. ( there were easily more than 200 in my inbox alone).
Yes, we all know she can and will take care of Jack and all his needs, no matter what. . Yes, we all know that it can be embarrassing to receive gifts when your MO is to only give, give, give. But she accepted our words and gifts of thank you with genuine heartfelt appreciation and class.
And for the dozens and dozens of us who participated, I can say, it was a pleasure to be able to give to Karen and JD for once.
None of us will probably ever be able to educate her, lessen her fears, or contribute to the health of her JD like she has for all of us and our doods.
As a group we will be sending Karen over $2500.00 by next wednesday. Thank you to everyone who participated and to those that helped get this going so quickly and effeciently.
There were probably about 20 DK members involved in this process and everyone played a part even if it was just confirming that we should do this at all. SOOOO, Please remember that Karen when you are handing out your "wrathitude" .

PPSS. Again thank you Karen. I write this while watching two healthy, happy dogs run and jump and wrestle and play ball and swim in the pool. And you had a big hand in them being what they are today.

Just got my internet back after it went down at 10 a.m. and stayed down for 11 hours. Can you say "withdrawal", boys and girls?

I am just blown away by this. I guess I must be a really terrific person to have friends like all of you, lol. Or maybe it's my significant other? He is prettty terrific, too.

Got word from Orvis that his new bed has shipped, I promise photos ASAP.

Hip Hip Hooray for the heart of DK!!!  I love that new slogan for DK.  Thanks for thinking it up Jennifer!  I love being a part of this and helping when needed.  We all are pretty much set in our ways and have our lives pretty much in order but boy, when something like this happens and we are able to contribute in what ever way possible, it gives us all a good feeling.  Karen, just think if we all lived near you.  You would have babysitters, helpers, drivers, shoulders to cry on...you name it.  We would all be there standing by for whatever you need.  Since we can't, this is our way of letting you know how much you and JD mean to us and how much you have done for us...it's hard to help and give back and when I can...I will always try my best.

Good Morning all, when all is said and done we will total about $3000.00. We are at $2660.00 this morning and several checks are in the mail. Whats the most ironic is that I have been trying for 4 days to put my gift into the link with paypal or visa and it is just not taking it.  WTD???? So looks like I am writing a check too. Crazy. We will certainly keep everyone posted on the final amount next week when we tie up loose ends. Thank you all again,

When this started I had a 'wish figure' in my mind and it looks like we will exceed it.  I am thrilled that so many of us have been able to say thank-you and give this gift to Karen and Jackdoodle.  It has made each day so much better just watching that total rising.
