Could it be a zinnia?
I think Susan is right, it's a zinnia: http://www.panamseed.com/plant_info.aspx?phid=065705333005863
Definitely a Zinnia. We have them in our backyard and they are AWESOME in full-sun. We have one large plant that has consistently produced 10-15 blooms at all times the entire summer.
It is - I have these growing in containers on my patio. They come in a rainbow of colors, too!
Those look like zinnias to me.
Thanks everyone! I really like them. I wonder if I can plant some in a big planter by my apt?
Zinna's are annuals and are coming to the end of their season. They enjoy hot weather. Enjoy them now, but tear them out when they get too leggy or turn brown from frost. Plant next year from pony packs or seeds. The come in many sizes and colors. My favorite is "perfusion". Althought it is small is a prolific bloomer and does not need to be deaded (spent flowers removed) to keep on pumping out more flowers.
