Hi there I am a newly obsessed doodler...I have noticed our 5 week old Fonzi has much shorter ears than his litter mates. Just wondering if they will grow longer or not or if this means anything at all? Thanks for the input.

Fonz is adorable.  I wouldn't worry about his ears, they fit him!!!

I agree with Andy & Sharon--I wouldn't worry about it. Fonz is a beautiful puppy.

In fact, I really prefer the shorter ears, because they give the dog's head more of a "teddy bear" look! When I get Cosmo groomed, I have the hair on the ear trimmed to be the same length as the ear itself (or "the leather") to give Cosmo's head that rounded teddy bear shape. Here he is, fresh from the groomer!

Thanks ,Cosmo is very cute and He does have that teddy bear look. Love it!

He is so cute! And lots of hair will grow in making his ears appear as big as you want! You can trim them short like Cosmo (who is also adorable) or let the hair hang down if you like that look better--it will be quite a while before the coat is all done changing and growing in (over a year) so you can see how it goes--

Thanks I cant wait to see what he will look like "all grown up"

My girls are liter mates and have completely different ears.  Lucys are big, thick, with really thick hair.  Sophie's are little delicate ears with long straight or wavey hair.

Murphy has little tiny short ears and Wilson has really long ears. I think they both are perfect.

So much better, my dog's ears drag through her food and water bowl. I'd take short ears any day. They looks so cute too.
