I've been scouring DK trying to find progressive weights on puppies to estimate how big Oscar will ultimately get. So far, I haven't found a puppy that was the same weight as Oscar at his age. I was told by his breeder that he should get no heavier than 40 lbs, but at 11 weeks and 2 days he's a whopping 19.6 lbs! 2 days ago he was 18.6 lbs. At 10-1/2 weeks old Lucy, Oscar's 3 yr old sister, was 15.8 lbs, and she's now 53 lbs. Anyone have a similarly sized puppy as Oscar at about 11 weeks old? If so, how big is your puppy now?
UPDATE:
12 weeks, 1 day: 21.4 lbs. 12 wk pic:
13 weeks (3 months exactly): 23.2 lbs
14 weeks: 25.2 lbs
15 weeks: 27.8 lbs.
16 weeks: 29.4 lbs.
Estimated mature weight: 29.4 lbs. x 2 = 58.8 lbs. + 5-10 lbs = 63.8 - 68.8 lbs
17 weeks: 31.4 lbs.
18 weeks: 33.4 lbs. (I swear, I'm not making this up! Oscar has been gaining EXACTLY 2 lbs. a week for the past 2 weeks... I weigh him on the same digital scale each week, so there's no inconsistency between different scales.)
19 weeks: 34.6 lbs. (Oscar had his neuter procedure this week)
20 weeks: 36.4 lbs.
21 weeks, 1 day: 39.2 lbs.
22 weeks, 1 day (5 mos.): 39.8 lbs.
23 weeks, 1 day (5 mos., 1 week): 43.9 lbs. (weighed on vet's scale)
1 yr old: 55 lbs 1 yr pic:
16 months: 59lbs, 24" tall at withers:
18 mos.: 62.6lbs.
19 mos.: 65 lbs.
22 mos.: 67.8 lbs.
24 mos.: 69 lbs., 25" at the withers. Oscar on his 2nd birthday:

Heidi, we should keep in touch as our pups grow. Oscar was almost exactly the same weight as Fonzie at 11 weeks (Oscar turns 12 weeks today). I'm going to weigh him later today. What kind/size doodle is Fonzie?
Hi Deb, Yes we should keep in touch. Fonzie is an F1b golden. Mom is a doodle and dad is a standard black poodle. Mom weighs in around 70ish and dad around 60 or so...who knows ..he was the biggest of the litter but not sure if that means anything...Oscar Does look alot like the Fonze but Oscar looks alot curlier around the face. He is VERYcute... Heres my latest photo of the lil' stinker!!
Auggie was 21.2 lbs at 12 weeks. The last weight-in I have was at 6 months (26 weeks). He was 53.3 lbs. Monty, my older one was 18.5 lbs at 12 weeks. He is 2.5 years old now and weights 89 lbs. Auggie is a bit heavier than Monty was at that age. I love big boys.
Wow, Vienne is going to be one big beautiful girl. Just curious, has she been trimmed yet?
I know how you felt. Lucy came home from her first groom with bows too, and it just seemed soo wrong. Here she is looking so sad right after. The only trimming I had the groomer do was around the eyes, the sanitary area and the feet (Lucy was about 4-1/2 months old). I don't think she much liked the special treatment. You can barely see the bow on her head in this picture.
I love this "bow discussion". My Golden Retriever is an all natural girl, and baths means puddles, lakes, etc. This winter we lived in a rented apartment with light carpets, so I banned au naturelle bathing. But then she got stinky and I took her to a groomer - first time in her 8 years. The sight when I picked her up - bows on her ears and a glare at me that said "I am so humiliated! I will never forgive you". It didn't get better when I took her home and my daughter almost had a fit laughing.
Traz turned 7 months old on 12/8/12. He weighs 48 pounds. The breeder said he would be somewhere between 45 to 55 pounds. I'm starting to wonder. Oh well, only time will tell if our little Big boy will surpass the 55 pound mark. I might get to ride him around the block yet :-)
Lucy was about Traz's weight at that age (maybe more at the 8 mo. mark). She hovered at 48 lbs. for many months and then started to fill out. Now, at 3 yrs she's anywhere between 53-58 lbs. Traz might be a little bigger. After all, he is a boy :)
Thanks for your post, Debb. The breeder thinks he will start slowing down now, so we'll see. Traz is the first big dog that we have had and he's a sweetheart. We are still getting used to him checking out the counter tops in the kitchen. He's learning that just because he can see things up high doesn't mean he gets to have them. It won't be long before he is taller than me when he stands on his hinds. So, training, training and more training to keep this little big guy under control. Enjoy your day :-)
