Are you joking or are you wondering about melting snow?
We have a gated area in our home and let him lay on rugs. The snow melts in 20 mins, we wipe him down, and let him in the rest of the house.
Good luck with all of that. Soon it will be MUD. That is so much worse. I'll take snow
HAHA!! It is a never-ending problem! My momma doodle has to go back to her puppies after looking like this and I try to wipe her down with a towel as much as I can as she RUSHES back to the whelping box!!
Some people teach their dog to shake outside by waiting until they shake naturally and then saying "Good shake" and teaching them the word that way--some of it will come off but not all. I use the towels like Joanne does but some people have trays of tepid water that the dog puts their foot in (when forced!) and that melts the snow a bit...just do not use hot water--that is painful. Good luck and have fun!!
I'm trying to teach Mojo to shake off, I shake to show him how and he looks at me like I'm crazy than trots inside and shakes off in the living room.
LOL Vivian! I have done the "shake demonstration" a time or two myself. It never works!
BruceGirl I thought i was doing it wrong lol
I just use towels and do the best I can and then they drip dry :)
We do the warm dunk in water as well.
