Oregon Coast this Spring...

Fall is fine with me too. I'm a 4 hour drive from CB so a few nighs away isn't usually a problem. I'll be there in April so thought if anyone else was nearby we could meet but a planned-out Fall event would be awesome.

Hello can anyone help me out.  We are trying to find a place in Oregon that is dog friendly?  Our family is trying to meet somewhere in Oregon for Christmas (coming from teh San Juan Islands, Washington and Southern California).  We'd need to find either a vacation rental or a cheap motel/hotel too? 

Are there any off leash beaches in Oregon?  We are looking at about a week long so maybe a combo of beach, parks, hiking areas, etc would work?  Home base needs to be handicap friendly (we'll leave mom at home)  We'll have 3-4 dogs in all.

Hi there...

The beaches along the Oregon Coast aren't officially off leash, but typically, that's what you'll see down there.  When we go, we just try to go to beaches that are large and kind of keep away from people if possible.  Alot of the vacation rentals are pet friendly, some are limited to 2 dogs, but it's always worth asking.  Check out VRBO.com and search the northern and central Oregon coast.....anywhere along there is beautiful and a great place to me.  Not alot in the way of "cheap" on the coast, but that depends on your definition of cheap.  If any question, please feel free to ask - I'll try to help  :-)

Okay looking for more info Ü  We are spending the week of Christmas in Astoria, OR and looking for things to do with the dogs.  I'm hoping to have a meet and greet in Long Beach WA with one of Sassparillas siblings.  I'm hoping to get more together!  How fun will that be!  Beaches, hiking, dog parks, restaurants, etc anything you want to suggest we have a full week.

Ohhh, if only I had more than the 24th and 25th off for Christmas, I'd head on down to Astoria with Fazzy and meet up with you!!!  How fun to meet one of Sassparillas siblings....yay!!  You might want to wander down to Fort Stevens State Park, decent beaches for running...although, vehicles are allowed on the sand in certain areas...so, keep an eye open.  South of there is Seaside and Cannon Beach - always a great place to visit.  If you wander inland towards the Portland or Vancouver (WA) area, let me know, we'd love to do a meet & greet here as well....but, I'd only be able to do that on a weekend  :-(   Lots and lots of places to hike on the coast.  Your pups are going to LOOOOOOVE it!!!  And, so will you!  :-)
