Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi everyone....

I'm new to DK and we are getting our labradoodle puppy on March 16th!!  Our pup will be a cream colored little girl.  I'm completely obsessing over names (among other things!).  I understand that you all love playing the name game, so I'm hoping you'll feel like weighing in on our top 3 choices. I can't decide between Lupin (one of my favorite spring flowers), Marin (from Marin Co, CA which we love) and Mango (funny, goofy tropical name).  And if anyone has any off-beat names to suggest....I'm all ears!

Sounds like they spend ample time with them--I have read about the biosensor program and a lot of it overlaps with the handling my pups get every day when I visit them--sometimes toooo much! But that program is usually for very young pups, less than 2 weeks old--I will read your link and see if it goes one from there--I am glad they have play areas, etc and I only hope that they are with people a lot those last 3 weeks before they go home--I have a parade of neighbors that come thru--old to young--to handle the pups and play with them--never a shortage of volunteers! Usually they are well-adjusted when they go from here to their new home.

How many litters, how many t ypes of litters ( Malitpoos, Labs, Goldens, Yorkies) does this farm raise.

How many litters per year?

Maybe it is time here, to send Bridget to the What to look for in a Breeder recommendation like we direct everyone else.

Bridget, read this information. Hope it HELPS

She just raises labradoodles and maybe 4 or 6 litters per year?  I've researched what to look for in a breeder and I've met this person and been out to her house.  Its legit.  She definitely loves the breed and loves all her dogs...adults and pups alike.  She has lots of friends, neighbors and grandkids out to play with the puppies so I'm not really worried about socialization.

Okay.  We see a lot of heartache here and we just want informed and HAPPY puppies and owners!

Thanks for listening.   Best of luck with, MANGO  :)

I totally get it.  I just don't want anyone to think we're irresponsible dog owner/buyers/adopters what have you. I've had rescue dogs my whole life and it was kind of a leap for me to go through a breeder for our new family member, so I'm not doing it lightly.

And, barring any last minute epiphanies, our little girl is going to be MANGO!!  Squeeee!  Can't wait until the 16th!!

I love Mango! But I also like Dublin or Finnley, Finnegan, Friday or even Ireland if we're going for the Irish theme.

I LOVE Dublin!

I love Dublin too. You could call her Duby Puppy or Dubby Doodle for a nickname.

Dublin is a great name too ! How about Dublin O'Doodle ? Don't listen to Lori though, Finnley is in use as we speak ! LOL

No Finnley....got it.  ;-)  Its alllll yours!

LOL! Sorry, I just think its a really nice name!

Sheila, I love your graphics! Do I have to be a computer genius to figure that out? Dublin O'Doodle is very cute!
