I know I will not be judged for confessing Duncan sleeps in the bed with the hubby and I, since I know many of you share bed space with your doodles :).
I also have to hoist all 70 lbs of him onto the bed when he is ready to snuggle, which isn't always fun.
Can anyone recommend a good brand for pet stairs? I looked on Amazon and many of them seem flimsy and less than doodle friendly, so please share if you have a brand that is doodle tested and human approved :).

HAHAHA Duncan is so cute! I miss the days that Zoe would stand on the couch with her two paws!
I haven't tried any, but I've seen them advertised in the Doctors Foster & Smith catalogues. Sorry I can't be of more help. Duncan is adorable, by the way!
OMD! Duncan you are such a cutie pie! Of course you sleep on the bed with your mom and dad. I haven't found stairs to recommend (haven't tried them yet) but maybe if you get good answers I might.
I bought mine at Homegoods. They are made of very thick foam covered in cloth and have held up really well.I have seen them at Homegoods on several occasions. My Doodles are a lot smaller though.

Is your bed too tall for him to jump up and down? Or do you just not want him to? Both my doodles just jump up & down, but now I'm wondering if that isn't a good idea?
It's weird... He can jump up on my husband's side of the bed (if my husband isn't actually laying there) but he can't jump up on mine. So if he needs to get on the bed in the middle of the night, he comes to my side (of course) and stands there with his front paws on my feet until I hoist him up lol. Jumping down is usually not a problem, though I do have some concern for his hips...
I bought a set of the stairs but found that there was not enough depth to them for Emma, she is smaller than Duncan, about 40 lbs. What has worked like a dream for us is a leather-look ottoman that we bought from Target, we took the feet off because I was afraid they would scratch my wood floors. Since she is taller than a little dog, she only needed one step for getting up and down, it is very stable and stays in place well. Here is the link:

That's what I would suggest too. We had the stairs for our little guy (20 lbs) to get up to the bed, but this would never have worked for a large dog....not deep enough. I'm thinking an ottoman would work really well.
I had a bench at the end of my bed for my Golden Retriever. She also only needed the one step help when she got older.
These are the stairs I have. I got them at Homegoods but they are on sale now at Petco:
