Izzy update - good news

Finally, Izzy has gained some weight! 7 pounds in one week!! Still slowly weening her off of Purina DCO and on to Natural Balance Synergy. She eats 7 to 8 cups of food a day. We also give her Proviable. She's happy bouncy and her funny little character and amazing spirit is shining through! Phew.

So happy Izzy is doing so well and feeling better! She is a beautiful girl and now you will see her blossom with all your love and care. It is so nice to hear good news, thank you for sharing!

For a person to gain seven pounds in a wekk would take 24,500 extra calories. Unless Izzy was severely dehydrated and most of this was fluid which still seems to be a huge amount this does not seem possible. ANd I would think such weight gain would not be good. also 7-8 cups of food a day is extreme too.

Well it's true! She was incerdibly underweight from having major GI issues since we rescued her. You could see her spine! She has b12 Injections every week and has her weight checked at the same time. Also her dry food is soaked in water. We are very very pleased. We will eventually even out the food intake and get her out exercising again in due course. Until then my doodle friends I will continue with the plan that is clearly making a huge difference. Peace and waggy tails. X
