DIFFERENT TOYS FOR DIFFERENT MOODS????

Has anyone found that their doodle has different toys for different moods?  I'm finding that if Myla wants on the couch with me while I'm watching TV and I don't "invite" her after she noses me several times, she will go to her toy-box and grab a squeaky toy and just keep it squeaking!  I'm sure it's because she knows I won't be able to hear my program over the squeaking!! LOL.  If she's upset with me (after giving her a bath or a grooming) she has this rubber mouse that she will grab and just mouth it.  If she just wants to relax, she will grab her favourite chew toy and just lay by us chew on it.  If she wants to play, she will grab a ball and keep shoving it on us!  I really wish she wouldn't destroy stuffies as I'm sure she would love to have one beside her when she just wants to sleep!

That's so cute! Willow's selection of toys can be more random, but she knows bone pillows are kryptonite for daddy and mommy. She looks so cute with pillow in her mouth, so whenever she brings a pillow to us, we drop everything and pay 100% attention to her. She knows it, and she uses it fully. :

Good grief...you just described Meg to a "T" and even the very toys she brings for those exact same moods.  Sometimes if I really want to watch something I try to hide the squeaky toys first.  Squeaky toys are her all time favorite, we just put one in the yard and she is going crazy with it out there.

Myla is a smart girl!  Trav just seems to grab whatever toy is closest when he gets excited.  Speed is the thing then--gotta get a toy, gotta get a toy...   When I'm on the computer, he'll often bring a whole selection of toys and pile them around the chair.  He's remarkably patient these days, just quietly gets a toy, holds it beside me for a while, drops it, gets another one, repeat.  Because I'm ignoring him, it surprises me to get up and find a pile of toys around me.  I believe he's trying to find something that will distract me and tempt me into playing instead of fooling around on DK.  :)  I keep his ball toys up when we're not playing ball or he'll get one, lose it under something and then fuss until I get it out.

I know - I already told DH that when we start looking for a new couch, it has to be low enough to the ground that a ball will not fit under it!!!

Wendy, that is so sweet!  Your Myla is one smart Doodle and it is so cute when they do these things and "know" what they are doing!  LOL
