6) We are picking him up this weekend, and are very excited!  We're stocking the house with all the necessities.  If anyone has any good tips for the best treats for our puppy. Not sure if we need treats specifically for a puppy (like the food) or if puppies and adult dogs have the same considerations.

When our pup Miss Olive was young we froze bits of carrots for her to chew on. She still loves them today. It is best not to keep them round like disks as they may choke so we did long french fry like shapes, 2" maybe. Frozen peas too are fun! she loved the frozen veggies while teething. her small soft toys we get a little wet and frozr them as well. :) Happy pup while teething. We now give her bully sticks but she still loves carrots :) Good luck, beautiful puppy there. wow!

Hi!

I'm Jen. My Mini Double Doodle is as yet unnamed...Small Brown Girl and/or Puppy seem to be filling in for now. So, that's my first order of business! Naming!

She is 9 weeks old, and weighs 5.5 lbs.

We live outside of Dallas.

I also have a Yorkie (Zoe) who my daughter brought home from college :), a hubby an two grown children.

Feel free to throw some names out. Annabelle and Clara are current frontrunners. I like unique people names for dogs. Happy to be here...we already have some chewing, potty, and Zoe accepting the new doodle issues to work on!

Love Annabelle! It was actually on my short list of names. Also Phoebe, Gidget, Friday, Lila (Delilah), Rubye, Gracie, Poppy and Pippa. Sorry for the long list. I just looked back at my list and wished I had a few more dogs to name...LOL! Good luck with Baby no name...she is gorgeous!

Hey my name is Lynn. I dont have a doodle yet but it is to be born May 15.  I live in Harrisburg PA.  I think my puppy will be an F1B.  We are very excited but also trying to relearn everything we need about getting a puppy.

6) Working on how to eliminate her fear of riding in a car.  I checked some of the blogs, but, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  We've been sitting in the car for the last 3 days without the engine on.  I have been giving her a lot of praise and a few treats as a reward.  By next week, we'll turn the engine on and sit in the car for about a week, then try going short distances.

We've found that Griffin (now 3 months) prefers that the vehicle be in motion - the vibrations and small bumps are settling and comforting to him I guess.  We put him on towels on the floor of the van, with toys that he always ignores ;-)
