It is sad, I agree, but Schoep had a long wonderful (not always easy though!) life with the best owner.

You're welcome. I'm not a FB much either -- a little more of late because the kids and I -- we've all been traveling.
I saw this last night, too. I was familiar with John & Schoep's story, and I'm so sad for him now. I hope he finds peace in his memories and in knowing that he gave Schoep a wonderful life.

I am tears over this but it is a good cry for a man and a dog who had a great bond and loved each other.

Such a touching story--Schoep was loved and cared for--RIP sweet dog.
So sad, but he gave Schoep all he could and Schoep knew it. They had a strong bond and that will keep John stronge with his memories.
