This just came up on my FB page. Like some of you, I've been following this caring journey of one man, one dog for a while now. The photos. The love. An inspiration when it seems like there's not much good left in the world.

What a long, wonderful life.

It is sad, I agree, but Schoep had a long wonderful (not always easy though!) life with the best owner.

I saw this last night, too. I was familiar with John & Schoep's story, and I'm so sad for him now. I hope he finds peace in his memories and in knowing that he gave Schoep a wonderful life.

So sad, but he gave Schoep all he could and Schoep knew it. They had a strong bond and that will keep John stronge with his memories.
