I had a wonderful visit with my Grandson yesterday....he's so tolerant of his Grammie sticking a camera in this face constantly. I took about 250 pictures and ended up with 75 or so. I just hate deleting any shots of him....but sadly so many were out of focus....GRRRRR!!!!! I should have had my camera set to AI Servo to stay focused on my little moving subject. One of these days I'll get it right....HA!
As I said, I just can't bear deleting pics of him so I try my best to make the most of what I get. He is pictured here in his Christening outfit (to take place in a couple of weeks) and a little Sailor Suit I picked up for him for a Dinner Cruise he'll be attending in honor of his other Grandparents 50 Wedding Anniversary Celebration. Neither were terribly focused, I love what the Sepia did for them.
Oh......ok.....and here's one that I loved just the way it was : )

Lovely.
Carol, he is adorable and I love your pictures! Isn't Grandparenthood the best?
Not exactly my flop but, I need to improve many images of rescue Maltese sent to us by fosters for posting on www.petfinder.com. I want to do a good job but, I cannot take the time to make artwork out of the images because that is all I would be doing. I have other Rescue duties like driving one of our girls who has been through orthopedic surgery up to the orthopedic vet in Orange County about 50 miles each way). He happens to be the best ortho vet we know of and he gives us great rates.
Anyway, this was certainly not the worst image that has been submitted to us...
But I think that this will show the dog of a bit better on her petfinder listing. I don't mind sprucing up a Maltese because by the time the adoptive parent meets the dog, he or she has most often been cleaned up by the foster parent. Additionally, like in this image, she looked a lot worse in the picture than in real life...
Of course, this clean up wasn't accomplished with the Magic of Photoshop, but by Judy's magic...
Anna is a year old Malti-Poo we first called Lucky because we rescued her an hour before the shelter was going to put her down. She is wearing the sweater because Judy pretty well had to clip her down to the skin because of mats, burrs, ticks, fleas and just plain filth...
Oh my gosh Richard......you both are AMAZING! A remarkable improvement in both!
Love both before and afters. You guys are so awesome!
Gorgeous Photos..they are all adorable...what a cutie-patootie!
Beautiful shots of this cutie! Love those blue eyes, but the sepia idea works so perfectly! Those two are the ones I'd want in the album, to keep looking at over the years. Just perfect, Carol!
I thought that I would resurrect this posting. I was on the San Diego Zoo Skyway and shot an image which really turned out badly. The exposure was off, the horizon was cockeyed (the gondola was swinging as it moved) and the haze really played heck with it. However, I wanted to see what I could do with NIK Software. Here is the original straight out of the camera...
And here it is with some NIK post processing
That's a keeper Richard. Very nice!
