Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Here's a link to this year's calendars.

Each year the quality of the photos has gotten better and the competition stiffer. You must follow the rules in terms of size and pixels or Adina will deep six the photos right away. If your photo is not selected it doesn't mean it wasn't good and you get to enjoy the images you took anyway. Choosing the final photos is done by Adina.

If you don't want people to critique your photos you should let us know explicitly each time you post but I can't guarantee it won't happen. I do know some people prefer not to get feedback of this sort. Of course you don't have to submit pictures you post here and you can submit pictures you haven't posted here. I am hoping people will be honest and supply constructive criticism. We know all doodles are cute and gorgeous but not all photos of them are perfect. So help each other in a kind but critical way. We can all ignore each others advice.
This discussion is just for display and not the submission itself. The rules for that have been clear too.

If you read these links and the replies you will know more than you ever wanted to know and have most of your questions answered.
We have had tons of discussions of this sort in this group. Here are a few.

Don't go too crazy and forget to feed your dogs, plot against the competition, or fly consultants in from far away : ) Remember, folks this is supposed to be fun.
None of the above may be true for this year and Jack Doodle is representing me in any lawsuits, or so I hope.

Thanks Cheryl..his fur above the eye seems to grow weird and will do that. If I keep that area shorter, we see the eyes very clearly. Right now he's cut pretty short - all over, except the "bangs" are starting to grow over that one eye again - so, I went out and bought a pair of thinning shears and will see what I can do with that area without having to take him to the groomer just for that one spot. I do know and have been told by several photographers that I know - - shoot many, keep very few. I just need to keep the camera with me more. I have one of our Cavapoo that I'd love to throw out here, but since she isn't a LD or GD...don't think that she really qualifies.
Thank you...we think he's pretty cute too (most of the time.. ha). He's starting to do what our small dogs do when we point a camera and that is to look away - I assume that is due to the flash going off a few times in the past - and I really try not to use the flash if I don't need to. Thank you for the suggestions....once the fog goes away today, I'll get his butt outside and see what we can do :-)
It's cute but I feel like the twig is pretty distracting. Fazzy is adorable!
Yeah....I'm really trying to work on the "minds eye" and composition and it's definitely a work in progress :-) Thanks for the feedback
Please embed these directly in the discussion by clicking the second icon from the left oer a reply box. We have an editing discussion going, thanks to the kindness of Camilla, and you can email these to her or put them in the discussion. She is a bit swamped right now I'm sure.
You can't do this from an iPad for instance. You need to be on a laptop or desktop.
Really nice! F is right, but give me a few days and I'll definitely help! I would like to take the leash and harness out, so the attention is on that gorgeous doodle. :-)
Very nice photo, and pretty dog!
Also cute! Post it in the editing group, I think the shadows could be filled in with light a bit
