Hey everyone!

I'm curious when your doodles coat started changing. Bob was very soft at 8-12 weeks. His legs, chest and head are all soft and fluffy. His back (down his spine) seems wavy, but flat and wiry. He is 16 weeks old. Just wondering if there is still a chance he'll start to curl/wave more.

Thanks! :)

Here are some photos of my Midas from 8 weeks and then a few growing up to 1 year. Week took a photo once a week from the day we got him until he turned a year old!

First of all I have to say that Bob is so cute I can hardly stand it! What a punkin! There is a group called From Pup to Adult where you can see photos of the changes.

Both our doodles (mine and our daughter's) started the change in their coats with a wiry kind of fur down the spine. You will not believe how many changes there will be with your doodles coat. It just goes on and on for months. Enjoy the process and by a year and a half you should see the end result. If your doodle was chocolate or black that change would gone on much longer. Our black puppy got grayer and grayer until he was fully 3 years old.

Thank you! I'll definitely check out that group! Glad to know the wiry fur is just the beginning! :)

We have an awesome "From Pup to Adult" group here on the site in the groups section.  Tons of before and after photos like yours.  Check it out!  I think he'll be GORGEOUS but won't be the super fluffy doodle...more shaggy dog or scruffy.

OMD he is adorable! Darwin changed a coat-wise a lot starting at 4 months and stopping at about 2.

So cute!! yes, he will change--go to those groups that people suggested--you won't believe it! I am guessing that he will be wavy all over and sooo doodle-y! Not as soft, but that is a blessing since the grooming is way easier and the water just sheds right off!
