Maybe I'm too sensitive.....

Today I showed someone pictures of both Jace and Maggie, and typically the response I get when I show people is a positive and sweet response, today I got "wow, those are really ugly dogs" I almost cried, and then I got mad!! I honestly just looked at the person and said "what is wrong with you?!" my mind couldn't comprehend how someone could think that living teddy bears were ugly?! especially when one was a puppy. I dont know but I have had issues with it all day and I almost wanna confront them about it. I guess people dont understand what it's like when you love your dogs as much as you would a child. I feel like it's the equivalent of someone saying, "wow, your child is not very pretty"......Maybe I'm just being sensitive. :(

One day a man asked me what kind of dog Charlie was. I told him goldendoodle. He said wow, they sure are nice looking but too bad they are just so dumb. He was walking a bulldog. Go figure. People are nuts, you can't let them bother you.

Another ignorant fool that is allowed to use speech to prove their ignorance...they don't do their homework...doodles are among the most intelligent of creatures on the earth...especially taking into consideration this man's IQ.

I literally gasped when I read that comment! Who could say such a thing??? I realize beauty is in the eye of the beholder but honestly your doodle and doodle-to-be are absolutely adorable and that is my objective opinion. I think the commentator was having a really, really bad day!

You are not sensitive.... I mean really what kind of a person says "wow those are ugly" about anything you care about.  What is the point.  If you can't say something nice.... ask what their names are or how you took such a good picture.

I think it is VERY rude to say anything negative to anyone... if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all !!!  I don't think you are too sensitive... I would be angry too !!  But everyone has their own opinion.  In my book ALL dogs are beautiful !!!!!

"If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" Obviously the person who made that rude comment, whether he believed it or not, has no manners.  Ignore it!  p.s. I don't care for cats as a pets, but cats are beautiful creatures

Of course Doodles are the cutest and sweetest, but that person must have been related to Mr. Magoo (and for those too young to know who that is - he was a cartoon character that was basically blind).  OK, so I'm old, but my eyes are fine and so is my mouth.  Would you ever look at someone's kids' pictures and say they were ugly?  It's just disrepectful and rude.  I would feel badly if someone said that to me, so I don't blame you at all Emily!  And your dogs are adorable.  And that person, even if he or she was having a bad day, has very little in the way of manners.  Don't give in another thought - just a waste of your time that is better spent kissing your doodles!
