The number of members in out Photography Group. While I wasn't looking we passed the 500 mark! It keeps me so busy looking at beautiful images it is a good thing I no longer have a full time job. It is the most active group on DK, despite the fact that nobody has to take pictures of their doodles or anything else. Well, maybe they do: )We are very proud of our group.

Wow, I think I'm number 501! I joined half hour before this post started.

Can't wait till I pick up my doodle in 2.5 weeks. I'm going over tomorrow to take pictures of her --can't even wait till she gets home.

I'm learning so much from this website!

Any good tricks to get them to looove the camera (other than treats and praise)? I'm worried that she will develop the "O God, not that darn camera again"  like my neighbor's cats.

Welcome. Some folks buy squeakers. One member, our Laurie, plays the harmonica. I sometimes hold a ball on the camera. You'll find things the dogs respond to although after a while they mostly ignore whatever you are doing. We have an index of topics, lessons etc.

Try not to use flash, or at least not often.  I think maybe that's what turned Trav against cameras.  He doesn't run, but he stops doing whatever he's doing and just looks like he's enduring some torture.  :)

Congrats, F!  The PG is a great place to see wonderful photographs not only of doodles but all sorts of subjects!

I too am basically a lurker in the PG because I have a very old digital camera.  I wish I could get the terrific results that you all do.....especially the editing.  I do have Picasa on my computer but the editing is very limited and I never really see any changes in the photo except for the occasional crop.  Maybe someday I will gather up the courage to get a new expensive digital and go for it!

Shoot pictures with whatever you have. but the new cameras are great. I should get a commission from Canon and Nikon : )
