Mini Ice Storm Hits the Desert

We had a little mini ice storm last night! We usually will get maybe one light dusting of snow a winter so this is very unique and pretty to us all!

We get these here in the Portland, OR area every now and again and it IS soooo beautiful, a little dangerous, but just gorgeous!!  Beautiful capture Sandy!!!

The first year we lived in the house we had an ice storm.  Lost our electricity and my DH came home from work with a generator that we use several times a year.  In the country, no electricity=no water not to mention everything else that one needs electricity for.

I am glad it was a mini ice storm where you could enjoy the beauty but not the damage nice photos.  We had a bad ice storm in 2005 that caused a lot of damage and loss of electric.

Very pretty Sandy. We get a few of these a year. :>) A few years back we had one that took out the electricity for 5 days, that one wasn't so nice. Here's a pic I took of the bird's frozen dinner last year.
