So I know that eventually I will want to get a Les Pooches brush, but since they are pretty pricey I was thinking of getting a less expensive slicker brush to last until Ragley's coat changes to her adult coat. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm still not exactly sure how the fleece or wool definitions work exactly, but I'm pretty sure she has a fleece coat at the moment (feel free to correct me if I am wrong). It seems like people are please with the furminator slicker brush, but it comes in soft or firm and I'm not sure which one I would need. Any suggestions are helpful! Thanks!

What a cutie pie! The slicker was never a favourite here. We use a comb with rotating tines and a pin brush.
So sweet! I have the furminator slicker brush in firm, and I love it for my doodle with a super curly coat. I use the side with the bent bristles. However, I do not like it for my doodles with a softer wavy coat. It seems like that brush hurts them, where it doesn't cause my curly doodle any pain at all. I will use the side with the straight bristles on the two with the coats that more resembles Ragley's coat. I was thinking about getting the soft one too.
I just have to say what an ADORABLE picture!!! :) I have no grooming advice because I'm in the same boat, even though Holmes is almost a year old. I need help.
