Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

So awfully difficult to write about -- I've not been on the site in ages; things had been going so well with our 3 1/2 yr old chocolate mini-Australian labradoodle. His pictures don't even do him justice. We get stopped every time we go out with him; he is just so adorable and sweet natured. But we were shocked and devastated to learn last week of his diagnosis - I can even feel his enlarged lymph nodes I'm waiting for a call back from a recommended oncologist tomorrow; even had a homeopath friend check with some of her colleagues here and all advised the same. Have to wonder if/what others have experienced. I want to give Bosco a fighting chance IF it's reasonable to do so. I read of one other Labradoodle who went through chemo and the results - which I know is not curative, only palliative. Our hearts are just breaking.

Thanks so much for being there for me through all this -- so sorry to have weighed you down with my sorrow in the initial days but there has been some resolution at least -- and the path has been one that I do sense in my heart is the one Bosco has in some sixth sense way led us down.  Thank you so much for everything. I hope you had a good "Doodle friend" who helped you through Sophie's passing as you have through my parting with Bosco.

So true. A new little furbutt, will never replace, but just helps fill the empty feeling in your heart. Cobey will certainly help those tears, be less and less and replaced with smiles.

I am sorry for your loss.  I am glad that you can find comfort in his passing and recognize his legacy in a new life. Hugs to you.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, sweet Bosco.

Susan ~ I am so sad to hear of Bosco's passing.  A new little puppy will help to fill some of the void in your hearts, and Bosco will be in your memories forever. Hugs to you and your family and that new little doodle Cobey.

I am so sad to hear that Bosco has passed but sometimes the synchronicities in life and death can fill us with wonder and be a source of great comfort.  I too am sure that Bosco or a higher power, brought Cobey into your life at exactly this time.  Rest in peace, Bosco, and from just beyond the Rainbow Bridge, keep a loving eye over your Mom and Dad.

RIP Bosco.  I am so sorry for your loss, but am sure Bosco is still watching over you and sent Cobey to you to ease your pain.  Lots of love and luck with the new puppy, can't wait to see photos!

Susan, I am so sorry for your loss of Bosco.  My prayers will be for your peace.  RIP Bosco.

I am so sorry to hear about Bosco, may he rest in peace.  I do believe it was fate that Cobey was born that evening.

I hope he brings you much joy

Susan, I am so very sorry to hear about Bosco. He was such a beautiful dog and I know how very much you anticipated him and enjoyed him. Thank you for sharing his story with us and I wish your family and Cobey the best.

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” — Albert Schweitzer

Thank you all for your kindest expression of compassion and empathy at our loss - and welcoming of our anticipated addition.  In this season of miracles, we are counting our blessings along with feeling our sorrow and are so fortunate to have Bosco's light felt by others here.

With gratitude and thanks to all,

Susan

Susan, I am so very sorry to hear this. My heart breaks for you. We have dealt with the loss of 3 dogs and I know it is extremely difficult. One of our dogs crossed the Rainbow Bridge on October 4th, 2004. I went to a breeder and brought home a puppy to my family on Christmas Eve. On the way home I noticed the puppy's DOB was October 4th. Both were German Shepherds. best wishes with your puppy!
