Quincy has always been a "sleep at the bottom of the bed" dog, and even then would get up and move to the cool tile floor or porcelain shower stall at some point every night. Well, ever since his shave down, he has been sleeping between the two of us, with his back usually resting along me and his head resting on me! It's really cold in NY right now, too, so I can only think that his lack of hair has cooled him down enough that he likes the body warmth! Luckily he still licks DH awake at dawn for his morning potty run.
Wonder if the sleeping arrangements will revert back when his hair grows in?

Haha so true!
I guess he is cold, for us it would be the equivalent of someone stealing our blankets. :>) I bet he feels just really soft and velvety and great to snuggle up to.
His coat is nice and soft (but so was his long hair). I still like him longer, but I remember the first shave, Adina called it "crushed velvet" and he does feel smooth like that!
His day camp crew (most of them anyway!) thought he looked cute-they did not recognize him!
JD rarely even sleeps on my bed, but it's been bitter cold here, and he's actually been sleeping with me this past week, although not snuggling. So I do think the cold and the haircut might have something to do with Quincy's desire to get close. Enjoy!
Awww...sweet Quincy that is so adorable...let's hope it continues Lori when the hair grows back...perhaps he has a new found love for snuggling...Enjoy it well you can!
My Kona does this. In the Summer she sleeps on the floor or tile, somewhere she can get a breeze. In the winter she sleeps glued to me. She is in need of a haircut right now and she has reverted to the floor the last few days. She definitely chooses where she sleeps by her body temperature :)
Trav slept right up against me after he got shaved down. Makes me feel sorry for the sheep after they've been sheared--bet it's a cold, cruel world out there for a while!
Darwin is WAY more cuddly when he's short haired!
