Lost 8 year old
Labradoodle "Cody" in massapequa ny! Since yesterday at 3pm! The weather here is very cold! He slipped away from the leash while at the groomers(not sure if he was being walked, or brought in our out from the groomers) he has been spotted yesterday but no one can catch him!! He was spotted at the massapequa park and preserve, which has a lake.. He would not even come to the owners!!! I believe traps are being set, please pray he gets home safe! My cousins live down the street All American is on. I have asked for their help. Other cousin who lives near where he was lost said flyers are all over town and so many people are looking. I have faith he will be found soon!

Cody is still missing as of today. It has been almost 2 full weeks since he broke loose. I am on Long Island, not far from Massapequa. I would love to go help and was thinking of going tomorrow (Thursday 2/27) for maybe an hour. I know there are many others trying to help, but I'm guessing not as many during the week and middle of the day. If anyone on L.I. Is available and would like to meet me there, I will try to go about noon. Would be nice to meet some LI DK members! You can message me or email [e-mail]. I am praying he is found today, more cold and snow on the way. Poor baby.

I've following Cody's story on FB. It appears there were two sightings of him yesterday. They think he is in some kind of huge Preserve. They were asking people, if they go, stay quiet and bring no food. They've brought in a professional tracker. Last night the owners were on their way to see if he would come to them. They say he is in Surviour Mode and terrified of everyone, everything, including his owners. They are trying to cornor him in one section of the Preserve.

Yes, in fact they have 2 animal control vans at one end ready for him should he make an appearance.  It is a preserve that people go through regularly, with and without their pets.  They are asking people to stay out of the preserve to minimize startling him.  I would not take Buzz in there anyway but thought just to walk up and down Parkside, the road adjacent to parts of the preserve and just to see if we spot him.  Just feel like I want to do something,  Probably wouldn't help much but couldn't hurt!
