Hi,
Cooper will be 5 months old this week, and I came home to a big scare today.
He has a bit of anxiety and broke some of his baby teeth off from chewing at his cage(we no longer put him in the cage).
We have been keeping him in an empty spare bedroom.
After walking him when I got home today I noticed blood all around his mouth so I checked his teeth out.
What I found was very disturbing. It looks as though his gums a cut open with blood Around few teeth. I also noticed something that looks like a major issue- it seems like one of his canines is coming in wrong and maybe broke at the tip. Pictures posted of each side right side looks concerning.
Please help if you have had any experience with this? Am I freaking out or is this normal?
The antibiotic kills all the good Flora in the gut and sometimes after a antibiotic, after all the good things are killed you are worse off then you were to begin with. The probiotic/yogurt helps stabilize and protect.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I can sympathize with teething issues. Although thankfully Cooper doesn't have Base Narrow Canines, like Debb's Oscar, my Maple does. She had to have her baby lower Canines pulled 1 week ago. For what it's worth, if Cooper needs teeth pulled, there really was nothing to it. She never skipped a beat. I hope it all goes well.
Thanks. I'm hoping they'll fall out soon. It just seems it is going to leave a big opening in his gums by the position they are being pushed to.
He doesn't seem to be in one bit of pain so that make me feel better about it.
Good news, I came home today after getting my hair done and the first thing I checked was Cooper's mouth. His tooth has fallen out! Although I've looked all over the house for it, this makes me so happy to know it's no longer causing him any pain. Thanks for everybody's advice and happy thoughts.
