How big is your doodle? and is my doodle chubby?

Heres Midas, Hes about to be 2 years old! he is 90 lbs.. he is a thick big boy.. his mom was a real thick (not fat) red golden ret. and his dad was a black standard poodle..

how much does your doodle weigh? and does Midas look chubby?

He looks just fine to me.  Doodles come in all shapes and sizes.  My first doodle weighed 105 pounds and may have been a little chubby.  My second doodle weighed 90 pounds at his prime and he definitely was not chubby.  My third doodle weighs 50 pounds, and my latest (maybe) doodle weighs 25 pounds.  Do you see a pattern here?

Do you really have snow this time of year?  Or is this an older photo?

I don''t think Midas looks chubby... he kind of reminds me of a white Salvador.  Salvador is 14 months old and at 12 months he was 80lbs... he's going to the vet next week for all of his update shots, so we'll see if he's chubby!

Kona weighs 90 pounds. Midas doesn't look as "thick" as Kona. I think he looks great but as someone suggested: feel his ribs.

He's not chubby.  I think we need to be careful with dogs with lots of curly hair that we don't assume they have more body mass than they actually do.  I saw one doodle shaved down and he looked like a spider, that was a too thin dog under all that hair.  I was told as long as he has a waistline he's not overweight.  :)

awesome pics and no, he looks perfect! But what you do is look down at him from above so that you are looking at his back from straight up and see if he has a waist where he goes in a bit between the ribs and the hips--that indent should be there--if they are just a bit fat, it is the waistline that fills in first-- Ha! Don't I know it :(

But I think he is just big boy--and adorable! That second pic is so funny!! It took me a minute to see the snowball!

Great pictures! From the pictures he doesn't look chubby! Sam and Midas are very similar in age and build. Sam has the body of a Golden Retriever. He is not slender like a Poodle at all, my trainer once told me he needed to loose weight, but my vet confirmed he was a perfect weight. Sam does have the loose skin, what I call his "brisket!" He eats the Acana Regionals but doesn't get the recommended amount. I just figure he is a dog that I will have to watch his weight and can never be a couch potato!

Thanks everyone!! Midas eats orijen chicken food.. 3 cups total.. 1 cup 3 times a day because i worry of bloat id rather do 3 smaller meals.. and he is a VERY active boy lol :)
