Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I'm so excited to bring her home! We've been puppy proofing and getting supplies, and should be all set for her arrival on Monday. She's a 5mo chocolate Australian Labradoodle. Her name is Matilda and we're going to call her either Tillie or Mattie. The kids are pushing for Mattie but Maddie is such a popular name I think Tillie might be better. I think we'll wait to see what name fits her better.
Here's some pictures:
This is my first dog since I was a little girl, and I'm a little nervous... especially about the first few days. Any suggestions for helping with the settling in and bonding with an older puppy? I went to our first training class last night (the first night is without dogs) and felt SO inexperienced! I have so much to learn. I'm grateful to this group for already giving me lots of support. Thank you!

I think you will be fine, simply because you want to be a good doggie Mom and family and have already put so much thought and planning. Enjoy it and keep us updated.
I forgot to add what a cutie she is! (I am partial to chocolate ALD's! )
She looks adorable,, and you sound prepared,, I would have not too many people coming by the first few days and overwhelming her in her new home.. Have fun!
This puppy is so beautiful! I love chocolate! You are already a step ahead of many new puppy owners - you have attended one puppy class! Good for you. You will be a pro before you know it. Try to post some photos of homecoming. I love the name Matilda.
Good luck! You seem to be well prepared. Matilda is beautiful!
She is precious! I can't wait to hear updates on her and see more pictures!
Congratulations she's adorable!!! I think you will figure things out along the way and everything will be ok :)
Tillie/Mattie is just adorable --but I'm partial to Australian Labradoodles --all colors:) It's wonderful that you've already gone to your first training class.
Wow--a cutie-pie! So exciting! I have a Matilda too! We call her Mattie and it suits her...she is the red dog in my profile pic. 5 months is a great age---they know a lot already and are eager to learn more--have fun!
