It sounds good but mine is delayed this month.  It was set to ship on May 1.  Chewy says it was shipped a couple days later but only one box has made it to the UPS facility today.  It's scheduled for delivery on May 8.  The other box is still in limbo.

Obviously, this is not the biggest problem in the world but I will be annoyed if I have to go out and buy dog food.  I thought I had enough to cover a gap but when the dogs were boarded and we were on vacation, they evidently ate more than usual.

Oh say it isn't so. I've never ordered from chewy (was considering it for next time) I've been getting my food from petflow. It takes 3-5 days with them. I like wag but they don't carry orijen anymore! With them I actually had it within 24 hours/next day! They must be local? I'm in that boat of feeding sample bags from the pet expo, luckily I picked up samples from orijen but that's just gonna cover me this month!!!!!

Knock on wood, we've used them for several years and have not had an issue.

We've been using Chewy since October without any problems.  We don't use autoship, but we do order Truffle's Orijen and most of his treats from Chewy, and we usually receive it the next day or within 48 hours.  You should definitely contact them to inform them of the problem.  Even if they can't rectify it this go-round, perhaps they'll give you a credit for your next purchase.  I understand from folks on DK that their customer service is great.

This is the first autoship I have had in the year plus I have been buying from Chewy.   Usually I have to change the ship date.  I must say I am not a happy camper.  On April 28 I got an email "Shipping soon", Estimate Ship Date Sat. 5/3;  On May 4 I got an email that they had shipped with a tracking number.  UPS had not received the actual parcel until sometime today.  I finally was able to track the order at mid day today and it is scheduled for deliver May 8.  I had to measure Haley's meals out to see if I actually had enough food to get him through.  Yesterday I did call Chewy about the order and they assured me it had been shipped and also advised me that they do not ship on Sat. or Sun,

This sounds just like mine.  Maybe they had a problem for a few days?  I'm hoping it is just a one time glitch.

Oh no! I LOVE chewy and have had only positive experiences with them. I feel certain that if you called them and voiced your concerns, they would make up for this poor experience. Please let us know how the situation progresses!
I like autoship, but I always have a backup bag of orijen on hand. So if it takes a few extra days it's not a big deal at all. Honestly, anytime I order from chewy it takes about a week to get to me, perks of living in Oklahoma I suppose but I'm not bothered by it.

I just switched to Chewy.com from Petflow.com about 6 weeks ago. The first shipment took over a week to get here (I live on the West Coast). The 2nd shipment, about the same. Petflow took a little less time to get here. What I don't understand is why Chewy can't ship 2 bags in one box. The bags are always shipped separately. So far, they've arrived at the same time, but there is that chance one box could get delayed. I have autoship, btw.

These kinds of stories are what keep me going to the local pet supply stores, lol.

If there were a store in our area that carried the Fromm variety I feed Lucy, I'd be doing the same.

Karen, The local pet store is probably 60 miles away. I can't buy Haley's food at the grocery store or heaven forbid Walmart.
Same situation. I could drive 45 minutes away for a bag of orijen and pay $20 more than I pay chewy. That's not even factoring in fuel to drive there. I love to shop locally, but it's just not feasible for me in this case. So I keep my back up bag, and a week isn't really that bad. I would keep a back up bag in any case. As much inclement weather as we have.
