Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I've been keeping this chart since Tenley was a young pup and hope that it will help someone out there wondering how big their Australian Labradoodle will wind up! This may also serve as a growth chart for non-Australian doodle, but Tenley comes from smaller lines so there are no 100lb lab genes for probably 20 generations back, so it may be misleading for dogs that are earlier generations.
Birth - 8.6oz
1 week - 1.06lbs
2 weeks - 1.9lbs
3 weeks - 2.8lbs
4 weeks - 3.9lbs
5 weeks - 4.4lbs
6 weeks - 5.2lbs
7 weeks - 6.5lbs
8 weeks - 7.8lbs
9 weeks - 8.6lbs
10.5 weeks - 10.5lbs
11 weeks - 11.2lbs
14 weeks - 15.6lbs
16 weeks - 18.3lbs
20 weeks - 25.3lbs (!!)
23 weeks (5 months) - 26.1lbs
25.5 weeks - 28lbs
27 weeks (6 months) - 30.00lbs
31 weeks (7 months) - 30.4lbs
33 weeks (7.5 months) - 30.4lbs
He should be between 37-40lbs full grown, but we will see if he gets there. As you can see he has slowed down considerably the last two months.
If anyone else has kept similar growth charts over time, post them! I feel like one thing we're always wondering as our pups grow up is how big they're going to get, since there isn't much of a "breed standard" and the same litter can have mini, medium, and standard puppies in it!

Thanks for sharing this.
Baxter was 16.2 pounds at 10 weeks according to the vet. The breeder said he'd be about 40-45 pounds. He's not overweight in any way, and based on his size at 10 weeks and reading growth charts such as Tenley's, I'm thinking he'll be closer to 50-55 pounds.
Yes, my other doodle was 17lbs at 10 weeks and is 65lbs as an adult.
I am thinking Baxter could get as large as 60 pounds, but am thinking since dad was 55 pounds and mom just 38 pounds that 55 pounds is more likely.
Boone

17 weeks old: 31 1/2 lbs.
20 weeks old: 38 lbs.
25 weeks old: 48 1/2 lbs.
6 months old: 49.6 lbs.
28 weeks old: 53.2 lbs.
31 weeks old: 53.6 lbs. (finally slowing down)
8 months old: 55 lbs.
10 1/2 months old 60.8 lbs.
11 months 3 weeks old: 62 lbs.
22 months old 68 lbs.
Truffle is a multigenerational medium-size Australian labradoodle. His mom is about 28 lbs and his dad about 38 lbs. Below are his numbers (he's now 9 months old). His growth has slowed down considerably, too.
I think based on the line you are pretty consistent with his ancestors. Tenley's grandfather lived with me and was 20 inches tall and 40 lbs.
I think that the only time you find a variety in litter-mate sizes is when the breeder uses a medium with a standard or a mini with a standard. I also find it frustrating to read the comment about having no breed standard. There indeed is a standard but it requires a breeder to follow it.
I think Tenley is on track :)
My little guy is a medium ALD. His mom was 35 and his dad was 43. He turned 1 a couple months ago and checks in at a lean 40 on the nose. His measurements are about the same as yours... I don't have exact figures but I remember he was around 32lbs at 8 months of age.
oh ok I follow you now-
Hugo Multigen ALD Mom and Dad each 45 pounds; breeder estimate for Hugo about 45 pounds
6 weeks 5.10 pounds
9 weeks 9.2 pounds
10 weeks 12 pounds
13 weeks 15.3 pounds
15 weeks 19.5 pounds
17 weeks 25.4 pounds
I think he will be close to 45, maybe a bit more???
Charlie Brown is a medium ALD and as you can see from his chart he maxed out at about 8 – 9 months. He is 3 now and still weighs 39 lbs. I have two ALDs and they both were in the 10 lb weight range span that the breeder told me they would be. Charlie was to be in the 30 - 40 lb range and Beau was to be in the 35 - 45 range.
8 weeks 7.8 lbs
10 weeks 10
11 weeks 13.4
14 weeks 18.3
18 weeks 24.3
36 weeks (8 mos) 38
1 yr 38.4
3 yr 39
