Puppy K9 still hasn't fallen out
Hey guys,
Oliver is a little bit over 6 months. I think he lost most of his puppy teeth at least a month ago, and has all his big boy teeth, but on his right side - he has two k9 teeth.
The big boy one, and his little puppy k9.
The doctor told us 3+ weeks ago, that it looks fine and it will fall out.
But I figured I'd ask you guys anyway.
Is this normal & I should just be patient - or should I be concerned?

Both of my boys lost the small puppy teeth starting at about 4 1/2 months, the K9s were the last to go, I was beginning to wonder also but they came out between 6 - 6 1/2 months old. We we quite happy as those were the last of the needle sharp 'weapons' to go..lol

The K9s were all there until about 6 months (the other baby teeth were pretty much gone by then) then they would lose one or 2, maybe a week later the others would come out. That was pretty consistent with both boys, we could see the permanent teeth coming in then suddenly the baby K9s would just disappear.

Oscar had both his baby and adult canine at the same time, side by side for a while. The baby canine eventually fell out. He was close to 6 mos. old, if memory serves. If it doesn't fall out in the next week or two, you may want to have a vet look at it. If it stays in too long it could impact the position of the adult canine and cause bite problems.

Both of Hudson's upper canines had the big and little teeth for a few weeks when he was about 6 months. I was really worried. And then one weekend I found 6 teeth on the floor (canines and molars) and I looked and his big canines were gone. Only the little ones remained.
Hang in there. They almost always pop out on their own. -
