Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I just wanted to say that the first couple of years I submitted, the pictures I wanted never got chosen. I was disappointed, but then I started telling myself Adina is crazy nuts one person making all these selections based on what she likes best. If you or I did a calendar, it would be 12 different photos. Art is so subjective and that is what makes it so fun to see what Adina picks each year. I like the discussion best where she tells why she picked what she did and I hope we have that this year, despite all the clues given beforehand. I know there is no one who agonizes more over the calendar than Adina and she takes a hit every year when the winners get posted. It always worries me that she will stop some day. PLEASE, please join the Photography Group and at least participate in the Calendar discussion. It helps so much and we all want to help get your dog in the calendar. Here are some past losers. The first two were taken by my daughter. I plan on resubmitting the apple shot of Fudge until Adina gets so sick of it, she chooses it :)
they are all great!!!! ...but the apple one gets to me :)
Thank you! It was just a lucky shot.
Great response and advice Laurie! I loved all of your photos but that last photo is one of my favorites!
Thanks, Camilla. Adina just admitted she does not like bokeh :) LOL
Fudge you are the apple of my eye, candy apple, eye candy. :>)
Fudge says thank you!!
I'm surprised you like to know that ONE person does the choosing. But I guess in this way you get to know what I like over time?
#1 If I recall, I chose a photo of F&V together looking goofy. I think I chose that one instead because a) goofy doodles and 2) TWO doods are better than one --- but obviously goofy and 2 aren't rules I live by.
#2 I left out because I liked Vern's better and was sad the whole time that I didn't include Fudge's photo somewhere. Because I really liked that one of Fudge a lot. I felt wrong putting two dogs from the same owner in there. I didn't feel bad this year ;-)
#3 I loved and still love, but something about the Vern-in-the-snow I did choose was somewhat more unique and hilarious.
#4 Maybe Sue is right and I'm NOT a fan of Bokeh...is that what's in that photo? I LOVE Fudge in the photo---everything about her, but for some reason the background I don't love..I think bokeh makes me unable to focus.
LOL....thanks, Adina. Yes, that is bokeh...all natural from the light, so I can't change that at all. You have an excellent memory. Thanks for the information. That is my favorite part when you tell us why you chose what you did :) I still plan on resubmitting that apple photo until you learn to love bokeh, plus I will file that information away. LOL
I see a PG group competition: photoshop in a background Adina might love. LOL
I'm in :) LOL
