Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Earlier this week we had our first doodle romp with my mom's puppy, Roarke. Each of my dogs have met Roarke individually in neutral territory. Then it was romp time at my house. I have to say I am proud of my mom for not picking up her puppy or really baby-ing him while the big doodles greeted him and tried to play with him.

My doodles were great. They knew he was a pup and after a few minutes of smelling him, they went off and played and let him get use to them.

Here is a few pictures of our impromptu romp. The most hilarious thing was the look Brisby gave me when he met Roarke. It was "NOT another one mom. 4 is ENOUGH!" :) Pickles is shaved really short because he just blew through his puppy coat and that is the best way I find to get through that phase. Pickles (my red boy) is around 57 lbs. Roarke is 13 lbs. He is going to be a much smaller doodle than Pickles is because at that age I think Pickles was weighing around 25 lbs.

Mac is the cream with the black nose. His is clipped short on his back. We have to clip him slowly over several days. They really razor burned him when they clipped him before we got him so he is hesitant with the clippers so slow and steady.

Jake could have played for hours. I swear that dog does not have an off button!

Happy Brisby running. Check out how much bigger Pickles is than Roarke:

Mom doing a sit before treat (Roarke still learning). It was cold that day (left to right: Mac, Roarke, Jake, Brisby, Pickles) :

Doodles a little worn out (except Jake): Roarke front left, Mac front right, Brisby back left, Jake back right/middle

And some crazy lady talking to her dogs. Im not sure who this is but she needs to lose a few pounds. Too many Christmas cookies!!!!! :) (Left to right: Pickles, Roarke, Jake, Mac, Brisby)

I'm loving all of these pictures, but what I love most is that smile on a certain black-nosed cream colored doodle in the first photo!

And LOL to Brisby's apprehension at another doodle entering his house!

Such wonderful pictures!  Jenn, I have followed your updates/discussions on Mac since you adopted him and am so happy to see how far he has come.  You are an exceptional lady!

Thank you for the work day pick me up! I'm in love with these photos. I'm still working on convincing my boyfriend to adopt a 2nd doodle - I'm jealous of your 4!  They're all so stinkin' cute.

Two was great. 4 is challenging- and my limit! Lol! Good luck. :)
Oh what a cutie Roark is. All the doodles and humans look fine. What a fun group.

Thanks for updating us.  I have been wondering how Roarke was doing with your mom.  All the doodles are adorable.

Thanks everyone. I'm really proud of my mom. She's starting to really embrace what having a puppy means. She's now working hard to be a kind but dillegent leader. :)

What a fun time!  All the doods look great and the new pup is a cutie!!  Looks like the artificial turf is holding up well.  It sure is nice to see green on the ground in Albuquerque during the winter!!  Love the last photo of the whole group together!

Turf holding up well except Mac is trying to pull it up on the edges. That's not going over well for those of you who know how much the turf and install go for.

Adorable times 5!! Really cute photos...thanks for sharing.

Look at all the doodle fun!!!  Roarke is so stinkin' cute!  My favorite is all 4 big doodles patiently looking up at that treat, with the excited puppy in the middle of them...such good boys!  And what a transformation with Mac...I love seeing his updates.  He looks like a completely different doodle now.  So relaxed and happy looking - he's with his family!  :)

Beautiful doodles! Love all the colors too.
