Hi Shianne, welcome to Doodlekisses! I'm pretty new here as well. Sounds like you got a shedder on your hands.
Since goldendoodles are a mixed breed, you never know what you're gonna get. Some doodles I know only shed seasonally, others shed at one point in their life then stop spontaneously, some shed only into the brush and some none at all! Puppy coats usually blow around 8 months, but your pup is barely 2 months so that's out of the question. My Nala looks identical to yours, but she doesn't shed a single hair. There are just so many possibilities! You'll just have to wait and see how your dog's coat works out, but shedding this early means you'll be dealing with a lot of fur the coming months. Brushing his coat a few times a week can dramatically reduce the tumbleweeds around the house. This is completely normal, by the way- shedding at this age.
But don't fret! You have such a blessing in your hands. This dog will change your life and bring you so much joy!
I agree that he is a shedder now, but that could improve or you just may want to keep him trimmed pretty short if the shedding bothers you--many of our most gorgeous doodles have long straight coats and shed like crazy--this is especially true with an F1--the generation that is half lab would be the most likely to shed. F1b (crossed back to poodle), would shed less but that is not always true either ....But all dogs shed a bit, even the "non-shedders".

Gracie is 5 month old f1 labradoodle came to us shedding at 8 weeks. She still sheds, mostly in tumbleweeds. ;) Except in the car, then it's like a Gracie hair masterpiece.
We aren't going to shave her, but brush her often and continue to get her feet and facial features trimmed. I love the fuzzy scruffy look.
My Meg is a labradoodle, she has been a seriously heavy shedder since we first got her. I admit to sometimes wanting to crawl straight up the wall, it can be so frustrating. However, she does not know it is a problem and she loves us fiercely and we lover her the same so we deal with it. Hope you are lucky and yours outgrows it, otherwise just get used to keeping Swiffer and Roomba in business.
Shaving doesn't make less shedding once a coat re-grows. Shaving decreases shedding only in that the coat is short and the shed hairs are shorter.
