The Murph is coming to his worst week of the year. Since last year he simply cannot stand the noise from fireworks. I have tried to get him used to the noise via clips from the computer but the real thing sends him under tables, the bathtub, anyplace dark and cave like. I usually have him off leash at night for a good walk with his girlfriend but even with her if he hears a pop he is gone, so its leash on till after the 4th. Its frustrating and I wonder if there anything I can do to get him ready for next year.

Finn doesn't seem to care much about the fireworks.  We've sat outside and watched them together since sometimes we can see them from home.  My last dog, Teddy, started out the same way but as he got older, he got really scared of thunder and fireworks so I hope FInn keeps his no big deal attitude.

Oliver is "noise sensitive" unfortunately.  So fireworks are a rough time for him.  Since they can be unpredictable this time of year (the neighborhood kids) we've had a really hard time working on desensitizing.  If we know there's going to be a display at the nearby ballpark it's easy enough to put on white noise or have a silly dance party to block out enough of the sound that he's ok.  But it's the random explosions that really send him in to a tizzy!

Roo is totally unaffected by fireworks loud bangs.  We either stay home or go to one of kids homes for the 4th as Tigger hates the loud booms and needs to sit in someones lap from beginning to end.

Both of mine are not bothered by fireworks or thunder for that matter. If it sounds like someone is outside or banging on something, Murphy will bark his protective bark, but it;s not that he's afraid. Once they get used to the sound being nothing threatening to his people, or we tell him THank you, we've got it, then he's ok and sleeps through the whole noisy celebration.
