They bounce back pretty quickly. She just had the lingering aftereffects of the anesthesia yesterday. Now the fun begins in keeping her quiet and less active. Good to hear she is better !
Aw, I hope Penny has a speedy recovery! My girls wouldn't leave their stitches alone - they're both lickers. I tried not using the cone with Eloise (she was sent home without one) but she opened up part of her incision, on a Saturday night - so that was awesome. :\ We were back at the vet first thing on Monday morning (it was slight enough that we didn't need to intervene sooner, but that freaked me the heck out!) She had to be re-stitched and then she wore the cone for 2 weeks. She's my big chicken doodle, so the cone scared her enough that she didn't act like her normal crazy puppy-self...I felt bad she was scared, but glad it keep her calm. Beasley didn't care about the cone - she just slammed into everything in sight, but at least she couldn't bother her stitches. :)
