I'm getting known a the little asian lady with the goofy dog as we go for walks 3 times a day. Oski is such a goofy noodle--he'll be walking along & then literally throw himself down on the grass & play "dead dog" while grinning at me. Then he'll pick up a stick with lots of branches sticking out everywhere so he looks like the Dunsinane forest coming for Macbeth! It's like he's decided that they walk needs some more excitement.... What crazy stuff does your doodle do?
Heppu loves to run around in snow! Or tall grass. He just runs in circles till he´s totally tired. Heppu is also black and after running in a deep snow he looks white and it´s a lot of fun for me trying to get the snow off off him before geting in. He doesn´t seem to mind. Heppu also loves to carry sticks, the bigger the better .They aren´t actually sticks anymore but small trees. And he carries them home.
Couldn't never compare with that act! Samantha is just the ordinary Doodle who wants to jump to say hello and play ball. I would love to a video of your goofy doodle
NOT AS MUCH AS OSKI BUT OZZY LOVES TO STOP AND SPLASH IN EVERY PUDDLE AS WE TAKE A WALK, SOMETIMES HE SITS IN THEM AND ROLLS OVER. NOTHING BETTER THAN A WET DOODLE..
Toby, with all the snow we're having, stops and mountain climbs on all the piles at the end of driveways, rolling in them. He is black, and comes up totally white. Then he cocks his head and looks at me as if to say "What? Never seen a snowy dog before?" So funny. He also pick things up along his walk. One day he carried home a Tim Horton's coffee cup, straight up and down out of his mouth. It would have made an excellent commercial!
Oski loves walking on inclines. He likes to walk along side me at an angle & sometimes he goes berserk & does zoomies on the side of the hill--up, down, circle, Circle, CIRCLE!!! LOL
Scrappy loves to jump straight up in the air, at least 3 feet high...while we're out in public. Usually when she sees me again, when I've gone into a store to shop or whatever....sometimes, just when she gets excited to be going somewhere....like she can't get there quick enough. It usually draws a crowd and people always ask how we taught her this. From what I understand, there are other jumping doodles out there though!
Well, it's the doodley intent that counts.....1-2 feet is better than I can personally jump! At one time, someone told us that the females are a bit "bouncier" than the males. I can vouch for Grover. He's so gigantic that he can't even get all fours off the ground at one time. At 7 months, I actually just noticed him jump for a toy this week....never happened before, he's just not got that extra "spring" in his step. Scrappy just tends to bounce around while playing too.
Noticing that you also mentioned that silly Oski likes to travel on inclines....Scrappy does the same, especially if we walk by a steep hill and sometimes we'll be walking along a stone wall or whatever and she'll just bounce up onto it to walk beside me. It's so funny.
Our 6 month old girl Daisy likes to parade with very long sticks too. The way she has to stretch her neck and hold her head high to keep the stick up off the ground makes her look like a marching band leader......a drum major. She loves doing somersaults. I think it's a carryover from her younger days when it would happen accidentally. Now she appears to be doing it on purpose when we're playing.
My golden doodle Gracie is 4 years old and an absolute nut. I have never seen a dog with so much personality. She can jump like a deer - if I hold a stick up at my eye level, close to 6 feet, she loves to launch into the ait to grab it. She loves to fetch anything, especially tennis balls, so I will at times throw the ball high in the air in the direction she is running ( she always takes off after the ball befroe I throw it) I will trhow it so it lands close to or in front of her and bounces high in the air. If anywhere close to her when it bounces she loves to jump high in the air and snatch it in her mouth. Whenever I do this at the dog park, I hear a chorus of ooohs and ahhs.
It cracks me up. Shes is so playful and funny that she attracts a lot of attention.
She also has this quirk - as your Daisy seems to - about liking to carry around huge sticks. She has done this since a puppy. At six months we'd be walking and she would just go over and pick up a four foot long branch and just carry it around.
Is Daisy a F1 Golden Doodle by any chance? It seems many have these comedic personalities...
