Mariner had been seizure free for over 5 years had a seizure this morning. It lasted probably 4 minutes. Don't know what triggered it. It was so unexpected that we went into panic mode. We were unprepared - did not have ice pack readily available nor any vanilla ice cream.
When I left house at 7 he was starting to settle down. Sharon will be watching him closely today.

I'm sorry, Andy. Hopefully it won't happen again.

So sorry to hear this - Bill & Betty doods hold an extra special place in my heart - Hope Marnier is okay & it's another 5 years before he has another seizure

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Sounded like he was doing so well. I sure wish we could figure out the triggers, but unfortunately it seems like it just happens. Will say a prayer for Mariner in hopes he can be seizure free again.

so sorry to hear...its always scary. : (   Best wishes going forward!

I am so sorry, Andy.  I hope this is a one time thing for the next 5 or 10 years.

Sorry it took so long to respond! How is Mariner doing? Hope fully seizure free since the 10th!

We are continuing to "work" on adjusting meds.  He has had some additional smaller seizures.  We have added a higher dose of phenobarb.  This has decreased seizure activity but has made him lethargic and he has weakness in his hind quarter.  These are expected side effects and should subside as we adjust medication and he gets used to them.

It's so hard. I hope things continue to improve for Mariner.

Mariner is doing well now that his medication is adjusted and his body is gradually getting used to it. No more seizures.

I'm so glad he's doing well now. Thanks for the update!

Good news :) Happy to hear the little guy is doing well
