Hi Patty
We do not have any names yet for sure. I am finding this to be as hard as when I was pregnant trying to come up with a name I would want to say forever plus a name that fits. Any suggestions... I looked on other websites for what names were given to brown dogs but nothing seems right Tina and Scoop seem so perfectly named-
Judi Lucarelli
We've finally gotten around to starting to think about names, with puppy arriving in about 4 weeks. I think we will let our 5 year-old choose, but I suspect we'll suggest some possible names for him to choose from. Otherwise, I'm sure we'd end up with the name of a notorious pirate or a famous knight, which would be cute but maybe not forever. (Our younger child is too young to participate).

We haven't "officially" named our puppy yet...but I am pretty sure we will name her Molly. We really like that name. :)
Deciding on a name for our little one has been a fun process, although a final may not be decided until we actually see and get to hold her or know for sure exactly which one we will be receiving. Some of the ones that are under consideration are Nutmeg (probably at the top of the list), Mulligan, Sandi, or Baily. We will let you know if we settle on a final name before we get her. Almost every day a new name comes up for consideration.
Good grief. The more I think of this, the more frazzled I get. I keep adding names to my list that I think are just perfect, only to look back and be less than enthused.
Right now my choices are
Boy Names:
Michaelangelo (I keep coming back to this one, though I hate Mike and Mikey for short...)
Bubba
Buddy (so common, though)
Happy (this one too)
George or Lenny (I love Of Mice and Men)
Zen
Teddy
Hershey
Cappuccino (Called Chino for short)
Mocha
Girl Names:
Angel
Felicity
Serendipity (Dippy for short)
Sunshine
Cocoa
Gracie
Penny
Melinda (If anyone's ever seen this old movie called On a Clear Day You Can See Forever there's this scene where she becomes this new persona and she says "My name is Melinda! Melinda Winnifred Wayne Moorepark Tentrees Doolittle" or something like that. I joke that I'll name the dog the whole thing....)
So yeah, tons of names to choose for. But they're fun to think of. :)
I agree that it is hard to decide on a name. We let our 4 1/2 y/o daughter name our puppy that we will bring home in April. It was very risky but she decided without any help on Dexter. Good luck!
i googled australian boys & girls names. (we are getting an aussie doodle) i told the family it had to be a one or two syllable name, my experience is that dogs respond better to a shoter name. having said that we have it narrowed down but not decided yet.
