I just read this on AOL. It is being rehomed from the breeder.

Good for the girls!! they deserve a dog, whatever the family chooses,
just like each of us chose our dogs.

Anyway IMHO it is better for the doodles, sadly the puppymills will start cranking the PWD out as soon as possible.

I strongly agree that all dogs should be in a home with a family to love them, no matter what the breed. I just feel that Obama's kids should of had the right to choose the dog they wanted as was promised to them by their Father, after all, the dog is for them. Obama had them research dogs to choose what they wanted. Had he not made it to the "White House" would the kids still have got a dog? Would Sen. Ted Kennedy and his family go so far out of their way to help Obama get a dog for his kids? I don't think so. I just do not like all the lies. I also feel we the people are paying these people to be in office, to worry about a what type of dog someone should get, when the economy and other things in America need attention. Just should of left his kids choose what they wanted, not what others want, after all the dog will be with the kids, long after Obama leaves the White House! "BOO" to you Obama. ...lol.

WOW, on Yahoo it is saying that the PWD for the Obama's is now a gift from none other than Sen. Ted Kennedy. Hmmm thought this dog was a rehomed dog from a breeder, lol. So now the plot thickens...what lies will be told next?

The first family has settled on a first pet — a 6-month-old Portuguese water dog that the Obama girls are naming Bo.

The selection was one of the White House's most tightly kept secrets.

President Barack Obama's daughters, 10-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha, picked a black and white pup, a White House official speaking on the condition of anonymity told The Associated Press Saturday night.

The dog is a gift from Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., who owns several Portuguese water dogs himself.

So there you have it...it's not a rehomed dog...it's probably a leftover the breeder had or kept from the start and wasn't selling knowing It was going to the White House. Sorry lies just dont add up here. Amazing how one can lie about simple things, makes me wonder what bigger lies, ly ahead...scarry!!!

Well it happened today. I heard THREE people talking about Bear on our walk. "Oh look it's the same type of dog the president has!" "It's a portuguese dog!" "Looks like everyone is going to try to be like the president now."

I need to get Bear a bandana or shirt that says "I'm a GoldenDoodle NOT a Portuguese Water Dog!"
