You can teach your dog to pee like a boy?!?!?! I'd LOVE that. Bear is a squatter and when he really has to go it shoots him in the chin. So gross.

You can if you have a human male at your house who is willing to go out in the yard and demonstrate how to lift his leg and pee on a tree...helps if you don't live on a corner lot!

Oh yeah! That should be fun anyway. Actually my older doodle (6 years) is a leg raiser and he taught the younger doodle (3 years) the ropes, but the younger one has never raised his leg. He is a squatter. So, if they can't learn from a dog, I doubt a human male would be a better role model. But I have a confession to make also. My friend has Manx cats who use the toilet. He says they trained each other and they all use the toilet when he is out of the house. When he comes home, he just heads right to the bathroom and flushes the toilet. Sooooo, I thought if a cat can do it, my dogs can. Groucho Too didn't mind being backed up over the toilet, but he couldn't get the "pee" part. He does pee on command at night outside. I gave up on it, but it was a good idea. Any other dogs toilet trained (to use a toilet)?
Oh, by the way, congratulations Adina and Clark! What is the big date?

LOL. You know I saw a video of a cat sitting on the toilet and doing her thing once. I have to admit I am seriously grossed out by thought of sharing a toilet seat with a cat. Kind of falls in the same level of grossness that public toilet seats have for me. LOL.

I have a confession to make. I used to pick n feed with both of my previous dogs. (Shameful blush)
It starts so innocently. You see the dog has a glob in the corner of his eye, and you just can't resist picking it off. Maybe you're at the vet, and you want the dog's eyes to look clean so the vet doesn't think you neglect your dog. But now it's on your hand, and you don't have a tissue handy. You can't wipe it on your clothes (eww). And the dog wants it!!! He is trying to lick your hand! So, you just let him have it.
After that, the dog has a taste for eye boogers. You know they love disgusting things, snotty Kleenex & so forth. It's so easy to just pick...n feed. Get the eye glop off & give your dog a tasty treat at the same time. It's ecologically friendly, too!
My husband used to go crazy if he saw me do it. It disgusted him. I became a secret pick n feeder, doing it in private moments behind closed doors. I couldn't help myself, and the dogs encouraged me. We were in it together.
Today, I am happy to say I no longer pick n feed. Possibly because of his amazingly expensive diet, JD has almost no eye boogers, and I have therefore not been tempted. I am a recovered pick n feeder. Thank you.

Too funny ...sick sick but I'm guilty I dropped an egg on the kitchen floor while makin peanutbutter cookies and let my Bear eat( lick) all of it up...thought okay hope he dont get sick...well no he is busy under the bed three days later eatin my suite case ..so the egg was goooood!!! Wasent pick and feed more like im old an dont wanna bend over that far and egg is hard to clean up...his fur is really shiney btw....lol.

The Doods will be barcuum cleaning for you where little Clarkina is concerned, that's the beauty of puppies and babies, they take up the vacuum cleaning so you don't have to!

Ok, i have not logged on to the computer all weekend....I come back....read this whole post and all I can say is eeeuuuwwwww! Oh and BTW. Fenway NEVER has eye boogers, Shiloh licks his face and eyes and ears clean, daily. Fenway does NOT return the favor to Shiloh....so I have eye booger details and it always involves a paper towel and the garbage! I totally feel a little sick. =)
