It breaks my heart when dogs escape and are lost. I had a Siberian Husky and was warned about how they can find ways to get free so I was always so careful. After hearing that many dogs slip their…Continue

Mojo is just so darn adorable!!! I love your profile picture!
Vivian, I'm with you on the tipping. I tip everyone and it drives my husband crazy, but that's just me! I especially tip my groomer, afterall she is taking care of our "baby" and she always does a great job on Libby.
That would be fun ! Let me know when you are coming this way and when. Maybe we could set something up ! Enjoy your trip this weekend !
Hi Vivian ~ You are the first person on here that I've found that I would consider living close to me. Where is Kerhonkson near ? I am familiar with some of the areas near Oneonta and Cooperstown. My daughter went to college in Oneonta. The Catskills are also a beautiful area like the Adirondacks. I hope you enjoy your trip to see the leaves this fall.
All the best to you and that adorable Mojo !

Absolutely! Thanks for the friend request! You are right our boys do resemble one another. I think Mojo may have been a little more curly as a small pup than Doc but not by much! How old is he now? Do you remember how much he weighed at 8 weeks.. and now? He is gorgeous! Doesnt look like he has lightened much at all as I am understanding may happen to chocolate doods...
Thank you Vivian & Mojo! Wish we could get them together for a play date:)
Hi Vivian ~ I just wanted to welcome you to Doodle Kisses. When you commented on Charlie's page about his trauma yesterday, and that your doodle was recently neutered, I just had to look you up. I hope Mojo will recover quickly. It appears we have several things in common - we are both retired, active, love hiking and doodles! I read in your profile where you lost your beloved husky in Jan and for that I am so sorry. I lived in the Seattle area (north actually in Edmonds on Puget Sound). We retired about 5 years ago and moved across the Cascades to the sunshine. We built a new home in Richland and are very close to the Columbia River and wine country. We are definitely enjoying this smaller community in the sunshine and enjoy so much less traffic than we had in the city. Charlie is a medium ALD and he is now 19 mos old. He is just the sweetest dog I have ever had. We lost our standard poodle in 2010 and I started researching different breeds and came across Australian labradoodles. I am so glad I did. We are getting a second puppy around Oct 9th. I have never had two dogs in my life! I do hope it goes well. I have enjoyed being a member of this site and connecting with other doodle owners. I look forward to seeing lots of photos of Mojo - he is very very handsome boy. I just love the chocolate doodles. Our new little puppy though is a parti (choc & cream). I hope he will be the perfect match for Charlie B.
I will be sending you a friend request.

Poor Mojo! I know some people have had success with boxer shorts and/or T-shirts instead of the cone; I sprung for one of those soft inflatable collars, I figured at some point in time I'd have use for it again.
I hope he heals very quickly!
How is Mojo this evening? I imagine he's tired; hopefully he'll be feeling pretty well by tomorrow. Jack is my first male, and I was amazed at how quickly he recovered from the neuter surgery, much faster and easier than my girls when they were spayed.
Thanks Vivian, I appreciate the friend request and the comment on my comment. :>) I tried to stay out of it but I just couldn't help myself. There have been so many posts that have gotten people upset and I pretty much decided if I didn't have anything nice to say I wouldn't but in the long run that is probably not the most helpful thing to do. Sometimes the truth hurts.
