Since none of the above are not safe then what is.My dog is a very agressive chewer and i need something i can feel safe giving her.I was giving her nylabones and throwing them out as soon as i seen a piece broken off.But i now know about the dangers of them.I always knew about rawhide and intestinal blockage.then i just found out about antlers and broken teeth. So my question is what is safe for them?

I'm with you!  What to do? We have bones laying all over our house and give antlers as special chew treats.  We even have one gigantic bone that they share.  I have one major chewer and stuffed toys last a couple of minutes with Clancy in our house.
Allyson started a similar discussion in the Food Group. So farI think no one has had a great solution.
Bully sticks and cow hooves? I have never had a problem with either, BUT I do have to watch for small pieces.
Cow hooves sprinter. I used to give them to Charlie, and she loved them, But I stopped....

Nothing in life is 'safe'. A life spent wrapped in cotton wool is just no fun! lol.

I give my dogs all the above - and have done for 20 years =).

Shin bones!!!!!  I buy them at Publix in the freezer section.  Boil the entire package for 40 min. and throw in a zip lock freezer bag.  When I am leaving Rooney for a while or when he really needs to chew - I just pull a frozen bone out of the bag and give to him.  He has been teething and he LOVES them.  They aren't messy, don't give them bad breath AND they don't splinter or break apart so they are totally safe.  Plus they are very cheap.
shin bones..in the freezer section...near the frozen meats?

Yes, in the freezer section but not very easy to find.  Ask the meat department person to help you if you can't find them.  Shin bones - they will know just what you are looking for.  This is the only thing Rooney gets.  We tried the expensive antlers - must not be any flavor, like chewing on a rock and he doesn't care for them.  Braided bully stick - gets a little bit mushy and makes his breath STINK!  Let me know how the shin bones work.

Me too, Caitlin!  She loves them.... she actually had a dinosaur shaped one, that needs to disappear now - it's getting quite chewed up... to scratchy for her now...have to buy another... SH! don't tell DH!  LOL
I also give Darwin nylabones. I just make sure to give only the super hard ones, not the gummy ones. He loves them!
Haley has a sterilized bone (got it at PetsMart but hey are available lots of places).  When I have to go out I smear the inside with peanut butter or CheezeWhiz.  He licks the the peanut butter out and chews the bone.  Have had the same one for over one year and it is worn but no pieces missing.  He will pick it up from time to time and chew on it without it being filled.  Haley is a strong agressive chewer and destroys most everything else.
Hmmmm... i was just there last night.  Have to check this out!  Tori is a very strong chewer too!
