In a press release today, the National Institute of Health has announced the discovery of a potentially dangerous substance in the hair of dogs. This substance, called "amobacter caninii" has been linked with the following symptoms in females: Reluctance to cook, clean or do housework, a reluctance to wear make-up, good clothes or high heels heels. Reluctance to spend money on home or car repairs until after 'Baby' has new collars, leashes, beds, treats, food, blankets or toys.

"Amobacter caninii" usually results in long hours away from home and exhaustion which may lead to a loss of physical contact with other humans (especially husbands and boyfriends). "Amobacter caninii" is thought to be addictive, driving the need for additional sources - this may lead to a "pack mentality" or like the potato chip commercial, "you can't have just one". Beware! If you come in contact with a female human infected by this substance, be prepared to talk about dogs for hours. Additional symptom is a lack of motivation to seek a cure. Full recovery is rare and if cured, serious side-effects may result.

Surgeon General's Warning: Dogs are expensive, addictive, and may impair the ability to use common sense.

Absolutely true - but I DO cook for the dog tho!!!
HAHAHA! I've got it!
I was scared to read this, too funny. I know I have this condition, sometimes I forget my kids names and call them "Bear". Oops!
My son pretends to get very insulted when I call him Luca.
LOL Too Funny. I have made that mistake also. Spud is often mistakenly called Ian.
URGENT UPDATE: AMOBACTER CANINII IS CONTAGIOUS! I gave it to my son, my daughter-in-law, my daughter, and even my dear husband. I think it has become an epidemic. BEWARE.
I think I have this, too. It's a perfect companion disease to my ODD (Obsessive Doodle Disorder).
I have this disease, too! OMG - what next?
Now I have 2 diseases, ODD and AC. When me and the dogs have the bed to ourselves, it's only messed in one little corner where I curled up. I have to buy bigger baskets for the numerous dog toys that are all over upstairs and down. Yeah, I've definitely got both.
Omgoodness, finally someone has figured out why my house has not been cleaned in 3 1/2 years, there are no groceries in the house but there is all kinds of doggie treats and dog food, sleeping on my DH's side of the bed while he sleeps in the spare bedroom so Lucy has room and her own pillow in my bed, spending every moment I can on DK, obsessed with doggie sites on the PC, I put Lucy's picture on our family Christmas cards instead of one of me and my DH.
Should I say more................. I HAVE AC AND ODD - and, I AM ADDICTED TO DK. This is normal though, isn't it ;-)
Everyone I talk to here, have the same symptoms !!!
Too funny and too true. Thanks for the belly laugh.
LOL, this is funny! How true this is. I have been told that people are telling my husband "all she talks about is her dog"....I can't HELP IT! I'm struck by this disease!
