Welcome Cindy....I'm right there with you. Lucca and Izzy are my personal trainers also. They force me to walk farther and farther....
YEAH!!!! Finally a place for 50+ ( In a few months I will be 59). I am a very grateful Breast Cancer Survivor...So I Love getting older, and very proud of it, and my Rosie Doodle and Deni our Cairn Terrier help keep me in good shape...they are my personal trainers....LOL....
The people are asking for a "rehoming fee." IDOG will not accept a dog when the owner wants payment. The owner must surrender the dog to IDOG and then the adopter pays a fee to IDOG. The owner is not compensated in any way. Sounds like these people are wanting money for the dog.
I just e-mailed them also and if we all do, hopefully they will listen.
Each of you needs to contact the lister and urge them to surrender the dog to IDOG or to the DRC so that the rescue can find a forever home for the poor guy.
Here is the link to the DRC that you could share with them: http://doodlerescue.org/

I know my dh and I are too old to get another English Springer Spaniel - puppy or adult. We are on our second one, and while we love and adore him to bits, we are not doing him justice in the exercise department. Neither of our doodles is high energy or I might be saying the same thing about them. We are in our early 60's.
Sue, that is so sweet what you wrote. Lily Grace is soooo lucky to have you and I loved the statement, "a dog sleeping at my feet"! They are the best companions ever and the love they give us all in incredible!
