Hi, My name is Pam. I will be getting my first doodle in April from Bear Lake Doodles. I begin and end my day reading about or shopping for my doodle. I am not sure how I will wait til then.

Grand Rapids DK's - a notice came through on my FB timeline that a loose goldendoodle was picked up in Kent County by For The Love of Louis - Michigan Lost Pet Lookers. Any help we can give them?

1458 64th ave, Zeeland mi 616-688-5821 ( countryside kennels) did a great job, family owned business.

I took Ollie to countryside kennels for his haircut.... But since he's going thru his coat change and I can't keep him out of our pool, he's been a matted mess..... Brush and combing him to death. I decided just to have him shaved down so we both can enjoy the rest of our summer. Then I can grow him out for the winter. I have a feeling summertime he's going to be shaved. He love to swim..... I let him out the front door he pees then books to the back yard and jumps in the pool, I thinks he swims more than my kids,lol !

Rhonda, call them first and ask about scissors cuts. Ruston's fur was long too, but I am hoping that now she is shaved I will be able to let it grow again. I love the long hair on my doodle. Good luck!

Karen, Thank you so much for that info.  We live in Whitehall and have been taking Max to Dog Star Ranch for grooming.  Great place, Great people, but they like to just shave your dog.  My Labradoodle's puppy coat went from hardly any mats to an adult constant matting mess.  Trying to brush/comb him daily is a nightmare.  I bought all the grooming supplies to do it between grooming sessions, but I can't get the clippers through him at all.  I'm at wits end. When bathing we use shampoo, then conditioner and then we keep him sprayed with a detangler.  I don't think anyone wants to have a doodle and keep him shaved all the time!  He is adorable right now and his coat is 1 1/2 - 2 inches.  This winter we let it get long (5 inches) and that is when the groomer shaved him down to his skin.  It was horrible, she even shaved his tail.  I will try Zeeland Dog Grooming, if they say he can only be shaved, I will know it is his hair type and not the groomer.

Lecia, welcome to the group. I used Zeeland Dog Grooming Salon on East Main St. I don't know if they do scissors cut or not since Ruston had to be shaved because her coat change matting so bad. The owner said they do quite a few labradoodles. They are reasonably priced around 65 I think. They seemed friendly. There is also one on Hamilton in that little strip mall behind Hamilton Food Center. That groomer also does doggie daycare and another groomer in Allegan. My sister uses PetCo. in Holland for her little dog. Good luck and if you find one that is really good let me know.

Hi Amandine!  I have wondered what the adult doodles looked like from Bear Lake Goldendoodles.  I've seen the pup pictures but not adult pics.  Your doodles are so cute!!

Hello this is Ollie ,he just turned 7 mos today. We live in Zeeland about 20 mins from Lake Michigan .
