Nancy, I quote from Contrastly.com:
"This book will show you how to use Lightroom Classic to its full potential; not by droning repetitions of someone else’s editing style, but through teaching you the basic premises of the software using easy to understand, real-world language that will unlock your potential for learning." It is for LRCC (which I have a subscription to along with PSCC).
Nancy, I load all my files into lightroom, but do most of my editing in photoshop and then send the files back to lightroom. I think this is because I use layer masks all the time . . . so easy for selective enhancements. Should I try to do more editing in lightroom first? What are the advantages for someone already fairly comfortable with basis photoshop editing?
Thanks Anne, I hope you follow through. I don't know that course. Please let us know if it is good. Some of the classes you find are on older versions of the software and it can get confusing when the menus don't match up... I hope that is not the case. But the guts of the program haven't changed much.
I do encourage people to get on board. Especially if you have the Photoshop/Lightroom subscription.
For me, I was using Bridge and Photoshop years ago when Apple introduced Aperture. I didn't think I need it and had no interest in it. But I got a free copy. And then I was hooked. I still took my serious images into photoshop, but the idea that I could play with all of these settings, I didn't have to open and close or save files, and it was all non-destructive and took up very little space on my computer! It really was transformational. Alas Aperture was gone and I had to convert to Lightroom. It wasn't quite as intuitive but way more powerful in what it could do, and the integration with photoshop was much better. And it has continued to get better.
Thanks Anne.
LIGHTROOM
Nancy (and Georgia Brown) has been trying everyone to get Lightroom. I have had it for years but don't use it to its full potential. Today I downloaded an ebook, hopefully, to help me learn more about LR. The sale price is $19.00 Today only. I don't know anything about the instruction but thought I'd put the link out for anyone interested.

Nancy, Great idea. I have so much going on right now, but will do my best to participate. We can all re-group and pick it up with the action shots in June!
I am also totally swamped, Nancy. Until next month . . .
A continuation is fine and action should be fun.
I'm sorry. This month has been crazy. I am continuing last month's lesson. I'm thinking about shooting action for next month's topic.
The April Photography Lesson's reply box is not functioning in that there is no place to add image, text, attachment etc. I was not able to reply in line to DJ's image of Chance. I am going to report it to Adina.
