I highly recommend the Flip Ultra video cam. Here's video of Toby I made with ours: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IY_NVycBsI What's nice is that editing your videos is a breeze. Plus you can add titles, music, etc - everything you need to create a short movie comes built right into the software.
The Flip Mino is smaller and has a few extra features, but the overall quality is not as good. For a bit more money you can get the Flip Ultra's HD. It's awesome!

You arachnophobes !!! No doubt the world would somehow come to an end without any spiders but even I believe they should be outside since they in no way pay any bills : ) I used to put them out but I confess to sometimes squashing them nowadays.

Not really. spiders are more likely to leave you alone if you leave them alone. ( I know some are poisonous) They don't buzz around and intimidate me nearly so much.
