Nancy, Just now seeing this tip. Thank you!
A helpful tip if you are working in photoshop:
In the preferences that you can pull down from the top menu, there is a submenu called interface. The normal default of the interface is dark gray. I find that I prefer light gray indicated in the screen shot below:
I prefer all of the values to be on the light side as I think looking at your images with a light background is more realistic and most likely to result in better exposure. I can go into the scientific explanation of this if anyone is interested.
I am currently editing an image that is "white on white". I set the standard screen mode to white "ffffff" in the custom setting. This can be helpful in editing snow pictures as it will give a more realistic representation of the white value. (I'm envious of you that have snow.) Give it a try. Things you think are white can suddenly not appear quite so white.
The secret is take out Chineserestaurants. A couple of quarts of Chicken Noodle.
Thanks, all! F, Come make me the chicken soup. I hate to cook even when I am well. DJ, Hope you are better now.
Feel better soon Laurie!!!!
Laurie, I was down the entire holiday. Ugh. Get well soon.
Feel better soon Laurie. Chicken soup highly recommended.
I've got some kind of respiratory infection again. Caught it from Archer at Christmas and it is still going strong. Broke down and went to the doctor today. I want to feel better soon and then I will be happy to do the next assignment.
Sorry to hear of your troubles. Happy New Year. Right now out doors is beyond cold and snow on the way : (
I'm late again with the monthly assignment. So sorry. My home computer is in the shop and my work schedule is super busy until this weekend.
I hope you all had a great holiday.
I'm sure everyone has "getting better at taking photos" on the top of the resolution list!
A hint at the assignment: Since it's so cold (everywhere but here in N California, sorry) the lesson will be focused on shooting indoors.
