Four photos of the pups came from ABD this morning. They are so cute!

Like everyone has already said... all the puppies are adorable. Kia, age 2+, is currently 39 lbs. She just got weighed last Friday. She is sister of Toby, Lucca, etc... offspring of Tula/Micah

Max's parents are Casey/Aspen.  He will be two on the 22nd.  They are wonderful companions.  I can't imagine our home without him.

I totally understand. I felt the same way. We were originally supposed to be number 6 out of 7 but a few dropped out and we were number 5. However, my husband wanted a male and there was only 1 male left. I have to say they pretty much all looked the same when I got there so I picked up the only male and made my decision in 5 minutes! Don't let my other dog know--but so far he's been the best dog we've ever had. LOL

I think maybe we're more experienced parents but he has had such a mellow temperment and so quick to learn that training has been much easier this time.

Welcome Karin, and congratulations on your decision to add a doodle to your life. We got Floyd in July from the Anja/Casey paring, he's Sully's littermate, and it has been an adventure ever since! You have had a puppy before so you know the basics of what to expect. These doodles are crazy smart so be prepared and have fun!

Thank you for letting me know what to expect from scheduling. When I found out the litter size I was relieved that there were enough puppies, but a little disappointed I was last and wouldn't be able to choose. But after thinking about it, I'm sure it will be fine. As you say, all the pups are great, and it will turn out just as it is meant to. I'm looking forward to the surprise!

Karin, When we got Toby, appts were spread out (every half hour or hour) over a weekend. Our little guy was the smallest in a litter of 11. He's 2 yrs old now and weighs about 32 lbs. And don't worry about being the last one to choose, because they are ALL wonderful pups! :)

Welcome Karin,

No two puppies are identical and our memories fade about the "naughty factor" of our grown dogs. Enjoy your little one with the understanding that even if he does not live up to your memories of your Golden puppy, he will be a wonderful dog. At four months our puppy has now developed a desire to please now that he has had all of his shots and can be exercised out of the yard. We can only remember our 3 year old doodle as eager to please and remarkably obedient.
