One of my favorite things to do is go to model homes, which we have a LOT of in LV, and take photos. You can find all kinds of interesting props to photograph (and play with), like this wooden pear sitting on a dinner plate:
Tourists (with cameras) commonly visit model homes, so I've never had anyone say I couldn't snap photos. But, to appear as casual as possible, I rarely use my flash. I boost my ISO up to as high as it will go and snap fast. It probably wouldn't raise any eyebrows if I had a point and shoot but with my large 70-200 lens I try to draw as little attention to myself as possible. :)Karina! I hope you start y our own little discussion and place more of your work here. My college also has a school of sculpture design ( I understand there are not many sculpture programs). I often go over there and walk through the sculpture gardens and admire the work. I just happen to have a few pictures in my computer. These were taken for a GIS mapping program I was doing on Campus Art. I can't wait to go back to the garden this year.
Opps, I must have deleted the garden. I only have serious one. My favorite was a bathroom composition. But really, who wants to see those...
Have you done one with your dog?
That's so neat Karina! I think sculpting sounds so incredible! I would never have the patience (or talent) to do that. But the female subjects reminded me of my mom's latest art gallery display: http://cotrutza.com/Woman%20Defined%20.html
just finished this figure. i am working on doing a rubber mold of it now. it is an incredible amout of work. it has been 2 1/2 weeks of 8-12 hours every single day. i miss my free time and spending time with my Rosie.
