Oops! Here's the song: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Merry Christmas (and Happy Hanukah) everyone! Here's a little something to put a smile on your face. It's my husband's arrangement of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" with our son on guitar, our 12 year old grandson on the xylophone (he's a first year band student - percussion instruments), and our 8 year old granddaughter, Jenna, singing. My husband is playing all the other instruments.) Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
I only add colored paint at the focal point...and then just the little things I want to highlight.
Thanks, Linda, I will give that a try.
No, I mean printing it on canvas, stretching it, then applying acrylic a clear, glossy, heavy acrylic medium to add brush strokes and make the colors more vibrant. IF you add any colored paint, do so very sparingly.
Ahhh, Linda, you are talking about a paintover on the computer. I was really thinking about painting over on the canvas after printing. There is just so many ways to go. I did a paint over with acrylics on a photo of a dog in a field of lupins and my husband nixed it.
I really love this image too, and I agree with Linda....I'd paint in Painter first and then I'd print on canvas and then add a clear medium and acrylics. The first thing you'll have to do though is decide your focal point...I'm thinking the bridge and the water in front of it...but then you'll have to tone down the bike. Right now my eye isn't quite sure where to go.
I absolutely LOVE this image!!! That would be a fun one to go over with acrylics. You could use create a texture on the trees with a clear, heavy medium applied with an impasto (raised) style - perhaps applied with a palette knife.
Thank you Nancy! :)
